When things feel like this, the instinct is often to think harder. To work it out. To push through. But I’ve found that this can make the weight feel even stronger.
What helps me most in these moments is something much simpler.
When I walk in nature, I’m not trying to solve anything. I’m just moving.
That movement matters. It shifts something in the body before the mind has a chance to interfere.
🌿 The weight doesn’t disappear, but it no longer feels quite so contained or intense.
There is space around it.
One of the quiet gifts of nature is that it doesn’t ask you to explain or fix what you’re feeling.
The trees don’t need answers.
The path doesn’t require decisions.
🌿 You’re allowed to simply be where you are, without pressure.
And that, in itself, is often enough to begin softening what feels heavy.
As I walk, something begins to settle.
Not because I’ve found the answer, but because I’ve stopped trying to force one.
🌿 The mind quietens naturally when it’s given space.
And from that quieter place, a different kind of clarity can begin to emerge.

Walk at a natural pace
Leave your phone behind if you can
Let your attention rest on what you can see and hear

You don’t always need to think your way through what you are carrying.
Sometimes, you just need to give it space.
