Nature as a Gateway to Inner Stillness
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, your mind is constantly stimulated by information, tasks, and technology. This overstimulation can distance you from your inner self, leaving you feeling disconnected and anxious.


At the beginning of July my husband suggested a trip to France to look for a new home. France is a large and beautiful country. On previous trips we had narrowed down the areas we were interested in. At the last moment we decided to go camping, something I have not done since my 20s. We bought some kit and the tent only arrived the day before we left. We had no time to practise pitching it before we needed to do it for real to sleep in it.

Many people have asked me if I think there is a purpose behind Covid-19. I believe it is offering us learning and healing on so many levels. The Spring lockdown was like humanity pressing the ‘pause’ button. Most of us were restricted to our homes with little external stimulation. It gave us time to reflect on who and what was important to us in our life.
Certainly in London there is a building trend of people deciding to live outside of the city where there is more space and nature. They are limiting their work time in the office and commuting only when necessary.
