Small experiences can bring great joy….
Snow has arrived in London! Well a sprinkling of snow has, but its enough to make a snowman….
I am like a child when the snow comes. I have never lost that sense of excitement and wonder of it. A walk in the park showed that I was not alone. On a dreary January day in lockdown London, it was great to see the children making snowmen and having snow ball fights. Their laughter was like a wonderful tonic.
I believe simple experiences can bring great joy. The way to happiness is en-joying experiences rather than ‘things’. They are available to all, as I saw today.

Having moved to London, I have found few people smile at you in a city. My nieces, who grew up in the Scottish Highlands and now work in London, confirmed that they find the same. It is very unlike home where people smile and say ‘Good morning’. One of them said they were determined to keep smiling at people to see how many she could get to respond. What an excellent idea!

We all want to be happy. As a parent, the greatest gift is for your child to be happy. But how do you go about being happy?
What a fantastic workshop Irene gave on using spirit art to understand who is trying to communicate with us and to receive some messages. No artistic skills were needed. However we all managed to draw portraits which looked life like and recognisable by ourselves or the person we were working with.

Are you seeking perfection in your life? Perhaps the perfect relationship, perfect children, dream job or the perfect spring day.….
