Women: Do Christmas with the minimum fuss

The approach to Christmas can be a challenging time. Women are often the main organiser of school costumes for nativities, other social events, presents, and the food preparation for the day. Of course this is on top of normal daily activities. It is not a wonder many women are tense over the pre-Christmas period. Do you recognise the scenario?

However there are things women can do to help themselves. Lets look at some tips for the woman of the house…..

Tip #1  Stay calm – remember that the people coming on Christmas Day are friends and family. The day is not a test, they love you. Everything does not have to be perfect, only you want that.  Do not be afraid to delegate tasks. read more

Mindfulness: tips on how to maintain it at work

There is lots of dialogue about being mindful at work but what does this really mean?

For centuries mindfulness was only used in the domain of seekers and monks. However lately in companies around the world it is being used for Training & Development, relationship building and stress reduction.

What simple practices can you undertake to help you in the workplace?

We all need a good way of reminding you to stay in the present moment and be calm in the middle of a hectic, fast pace working day.

Thank you Kristin Fehrman for your practical suggestions.

Trust: how important is it in our everyday lives?

I suspect like many people, currently I am struggling with trusting people in power to do the right thing for the country. So often it seems that many of their actions are about personal positioning to remain in power rather than common sense to improve the quality of everybody’s life.

In the UK this has come into sharp focus with the Brexit negotiations. Much of what was promised is not in the exit deal. Were we not able to negotiate these items or has the Government broken trust? We all appreciate it is a negotiation so we will not get all that we want. To ensure trust is maintained, clear communications are required.

Many times in public and private lives I see trust challenged through poor communication and misunderstandings. read more

Your Soul Family goes international!

This weekend I will be packing up my Your Soul Family workshop material to travel to Germany. I am so excited! I will be giving a demonstration on Soul Maps, private sittings and an introductory workshop in ‘Creating your own Soul Map’. It is an action packed agenda and will be great fun. Petra Knickenberg is hosting the event in Aschau, a beautiful village in Bavaria. Thank you @Petramariaknickenberg.

Everything we do brings fresh opportunities to learn. Of course I am typically English and do not speak another language well. Perhaps that is something I should change. However next week I will be learning to work through an interpreter. In this global era, I believe it is a good skill to have. The more individuals from different countries talk, the better we understand each other. This can only be good as we start to think of a country by the people we have spoken with, rather than by the country’s reputation or political leader’s comments. It is much harder to dislike a person than a country. It is wonderful to see and experience another country’s culture including their people, food, houses and everything else that comes with it.

In Germany I will be encouraging people to;

  • get their intuition working,
  • connecting with their ‘inner you’,
  • finding their personal calmness.

In creating a Soul Map you will remember who is in your Soul Family and may even start to remember a previous life you shared together. When I started out learning to talk to my ‘inner you’, I read every book that came my way. Early in my education I read Dr Brian Weiss’s books about his journey learning to give past life regressions. In memory of those days I have posted some book reviews for Brian’s books in my library. You can read them here. Learn how life lessons can bring you closer to our life purpose.

I have divided my library into 3 categories – Starting Out, Exploring Further and Science Meets Mysticism. These books are from Starting Out.
