Loneliness: comes in many forms

There is truth in the saying that you can be

‘Lonely in a crowd.’

Loneliness comes in many forms, possibly you might recognise some of them;

  • school where you are not part of the ‘in crowd’.
  • redundancy or retirement where you no longer go out to work.
  • first day in a new job and you do not know anyone.
  • new baby with your partner back at work.
  • marriage where your partner is indifferent to you or very controlling and isolates you from your friends.
  • old age when many of your friends have passed on.

You can not control what is happening outside of you but you can decide how you respond to it.  Rather than looking for love and affirmation from others, you can love yourself and confirm who you are.

You can learn to meet your own needs by doing what pleases you.

In doing these things for yourself you will be surprised at how much you learn about you.

We would love to hear from you.  If you have a question or want to book an appointment with Alison Wem for intuitive life guidance, creative therapy or mediumship, contact us here
