  • Take a taster event with an intuitive selection of a Soul Family template to paint for relaxation and messages from your loved ones.
  • Take a workshop to learn how to create your own soul map. Enjoy the relaxation of painting it and learn to use it in a reflection for ongoing calmness.
  • Soul families life in soul communities much as in our physical lives. Learn to create your community picture and paint it for relaxation.
  • Your Soul Family Foundation evening course of discovery including relaxing meditations, exercises and Soul Family techniques to develop your intuition. Starting in January, express an interest now as we need a minimum number to ensure it runs

All of the events are good for reducing stress and helping you to manage your life. You can do them just for relaxation or you can learn more about yourself, the life lessons you are learning and discovering who is in your eternal soul family. Either reason is equally good.

Taking the leap: is fear holding you back?

Typically our lives move forwards in fits and starts. When things are on an even keel, it takes courage to make a change to reach our next phase of personal development. A change can come in many forms, or example; committing to a relationship, having another child or a new job.

Fear can freeze us both mentally and physically. It stops the flow of life. But fear is in the mind and is not real.

Analyse with you mind what you think is the best way forward. Then trust your heart to tell you if it feels right. If your heart answers to the negative – do nothing, stop and consider other options. Your heart and your ‘inner you’ will always know what is right for you. This may not be the same thing as what is right for other people such as parents or partners. read more

Soul Maps come to Aschau, Germany

Aschau im Chiemgaun is the perfect place to inspire you to do some self discovery. The scenery, food and people are wonderful. In Aschau there is so much opportunity to walk in nature and to relax, reflect and meditate.

Petra Knickenberg and Alison Wem held a three day event with Soul Map private sittings, a demonstration and a workshop in the beautiful Winter Garden at the Zum Baumbach hotel in Aschau.

On Friday evening, there was a stir of excitement in the air in the Winter Garden where nearly 50 people gathered for a demonstration of Soul Maps by Alison Wem of Your Soul Family. It was the alternative event for the local beer festival. No pressure to make it a fun event! (Petra and Alison did get a chance to sample the delights of the beer tent on Saturday evening….) read more

Your Soul Family goes international!

This weekend I will be packing up my Your Soul Family workshop material to travel to Germany. I am so excited! I will be giving a demonstration on Soul Maps, private sittings and an introductory workshop in ‘Creating your own Soul Map’. It is an action packed agenda and will be great fun. Petra Knickenberg is hosting the event in Aschau, a beautiful village in Bavaria. Thank you @Petramariaknickenberg.

Everything we do brings fresh opportunities to learn. Of course I am typically English and do not speak another language well. Perhaps that is something I should change. However next week I will be learning to work through an interpreter. In this global era, I believe it is a good skill to have. The more individuals from different countries talk, the better we understand each other. This can only be good as we start to think of a country by the people we have spoken with, rather than by the country’s reputation or political leader’s comments. It is much harder to dislike a person than a country. It is wonderful to see and experience another country’s culture including their people, food, houses and everything else that comes with it. read more

ABC of love: m is for meditation

Meditation is a precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state. It is the means for fathoming all the levels of ourselves and finally experiencing the centre of consciousness within.                    Swami Rama

Typically people either follow a guided meditation which often visualizes a calm and beautiful place in nature or they focus on their breath – ‘in’ to bring in harmony, new vitality and peace, ‘out’ to release anything that is unwanted or unpleasant. read more

Nature: why is growing your own food so beneficial?

Have you ever wondered why pottering in the garden is so popular? It does not look exciting, not much happens, so why do people love it so much?

For over 200,000 years humanity has been living and developing on Earth. It is not so surprising that even the hardest of city lovers gain great value in being with nature. Whether you believe in an ‘inner you’ and that you exchange energy with the world around you is immaterial. You are doing it all the time but may not be aware of it.

When you go out in the garden, to the park or allotment you are receiving soothing energy from the grass, trees and plants. They take your stress and give it to Mother Earth to deal with. As you tend your plants, watering and feeding them, your mind starts to slow and you enter that calm space within that brings so much clarity. As you breath out, the stress from the difficulties in your life leaves you. As you breath in, new energy and vitality enters you. What a great stress buster! read more
