Rumi’s Reflections: Alison Wem’s Journal – Day 9

There is a candle in your heart,

Ready to be kindled.

There is a void in your soul,

Ready to be filled.

You feel it, don’t you?

Jalal al-Din Rumi

My candle has been lit but it is dim and needs to be nurtured to achieve its potential. I feel it in my heart and the desire to burn brighter so the flame may go higher and connect with you.

We are never really alone. My candle shines so I and you will know this, rather than just have a belief.

My light is getting brighter. I am becoming my soul and my soul is becoming me.

Now I am starting to remember what I came here to do…..
