Happy wishing for 2019

In the UK and perhaps in many other countries too, we seem to be entering the New Year in turmoil. Brexit is upsetting both the UK and Europe, Trump is unsettling the stock markets and countries are thinking about trade tariffs.

Now is the time between Christmas and the start of 2019 to reflect on both the global and your personal situation.

What did you experience in 2018 and what would you like to bring in for you and your loved ones, your soul family, for 2019?

Think about the things that went well for you in the last year. For me 2018 was a good year. I made some good progress in becoming an author, mentor and life coach:

  • first book has sold in over 6 countries, albeit in low volumes
  • second book published in print book
  • ran a number of workshops including going international
  • mentored a growing number of people.

As the saying goes…..

From small acorns big oak trees grow.

What were your achievements? – celebrate them and give yourself a pat on the back.

2018 was not without its challenges for me. Several loved ones had challenges in employment and career development. In 2019 I wish them every success. Perhaps you had some challenges too.

What life lessons have you been learning? Perhaps your challenges were opportunities to practise your life lessons. My key life lessons have been about practising patience and compassion. I have never been a patient person as my children will testify. By nature I am a person of action but I have to learn sometimes you get a better result by letting something go and just see where it settles. Observe yourself and see if you can identify what life lessons you have been working on in 2018.

Compassion is a concern for the suffering of others. It is a key personal development for everyone to experience compassion, both giving and receiving it. Small gifts of kindness and compassion cost nothing in financial terms but make a big difference to the world we live in. Practising compassion at home, such as making a cup of tea for a loved one when they come in from work tired, develops your mindset for compassion. This mindset will then spill out into other parts of your life and will ripple and magnify. Practising compassion is a good wish to make for yourself in 2018.

Think about the life lessons you want to learn in 2019. If you have built a soul map, review the insight it brought.

Wish into your year opportunities to practise your life lessons and it will be a productive and fruitful year.

Happy wishing and a Happy New Year

Love, Alison
